James Faulkner: Australia ban all-rounder after drink-drive charge
The 25-year-old, who is playing for Lancashire, was arrested and bailed on 2 July and will appear in court in Manchester later this month.
All-rounder James Faulkner will miss Australia's tour of England and Ireland after being charged with drink-driving.
Faulkner, who is not part of the 17-man Ashes squad, accepted the punishment and will avoid a formal hearing.
He received four suspension points, which equates to four limited-overs fixtures that he was likely to have been selected for.
Once Faulkner has served his suspension, he could be considered for selection again as an injury replacement.
